Vijayapura District Prison to host literary workshop starting tomorrow

Karnataka Sahitya Academy and the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services will organise a three-day literary workshop in the Vijayapura District Prison from Thursday.

Superintendent of Police Lakshman Nimbargi will inaugurate it on Thursday.

Resource persons journalist Ganesh Amingad, Deputy Superintendent of Police Basavaraj Yeligar, writers Chandraprabha Bagalkota and Shankar Baichabal will speak on various topics.

Sri Abhinava Siddalinga Swami, president of Karnataka Bala Vikas Academy Sangamesh Babaleshwar, principal of Anjuman B.Ed College Sharadamani Hunshal, cConvener of the academy Mahadev Basarakod, Jail Superintendent B.M. Kotresh and others will speak.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Somalinga Gennur will be the chief guest for the valedictory. Karnataka Sahitya Academy president L.N. Mukundaraj will preside over the programme, said a release.
