On Friday, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump debuted the newly renovated Rose Garden, introducing it as the Rose Garden Club and calling it the "hottest" place to be in Washington.“We have worked very hard to bring it to fruition and it's not an easy situation, but it’s something that I think we’re all going to enjoy for many, many years to come. It’s a tremendous place,” Trump said to the gathering invited to the dinner. The guests at the dinner were served salad as the first course, followed by New York Strip steak, thyme-roasted chicken or a vegetarian pasta dish. For dessert, there was a fudge-filled cake.Started in April, the Rose Garden project is one of the numerous renovations going on under Trump. He had redecorated the Oval Office and Cabinet Room with golden accents, erected two 100-foot flag poles on the North and South lawns and is planning a self-funded $200 million ballroom by the East Wing. The Rose Garden in particular has been replaced with a white patio where several tables were placed for dinner. It still remains surrounded by rose bushes and tall trees.
