After a successful run on television, Vishal Vashishtha has steadily transitioned into the OTT space. Previously seen in Showtime and Hustlers, the actor, known for his roles in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera
and Gangaa, will next be seen in Glory.
The series, which also features Pulkit Samrat and Divyenduu, is set to drop on Netflix on May 1. Vishal will be seen playing cop Arvind Shekhawat (SHO).Speaking about how his journey with Glory began, Vishal shares that the project came to him through a casting call. He recalls, “I got a call from Casting Bay’s office for a role in a show titled Glory. The title immediately made me curious, and the theme of the show stood out from the very first conversation.
Instead of jumping in right away, I decided to explore the concept in more detail.”Elaborating on what drew him to the series, he says, “I asked for more details about the project, and they told me that the world of Glory is set within Haryana’s boxing culture. It’s not just about boxing, but also about power dynamics, crime, loyalty, revenge, and everything that comes with it. What really drew me in was how layered and intense the setting felt.
The blend of sport and raw human emotion made it an exciting prospect.
It sounded pretty cool to me as soon as I heard it.”The actor approached the opportunity with equal parts curiosity and clarity. He shares, “I was hooked right away, so I asked for all the reading material and we worked out when I could test for it. At the same time, it wasn’t just about liking the idea, it was also about fully understanding the character and the world of Glory before moving ahead.”
