A total of 2,846 candidates cleared the SSC Regular examinations held as part of the Advance Supplementary Public Examinations in May in Visakhapatnam district, recording a pass percentage of 84.70%, according to District Educational Officer (DEO), N. Prem Kumar on Friday.
Of the 3,360 candidates who appeared for the SSC Regular stream, 1,730 boys and 1,116 girls were declared successful. In the Open SSC category conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Open School Society (APOSS), 617 candidates appeared and 353 passed, a success rate of 57.21%. The Open Intermediate stream recorded a pass percentage of 57.72%, with 415 of the 719 candidates who appeared clearing the examination.
Mr. Kumar said candidates seeking recounting of answer scripts could apply by paying ₹500 per subject, while those opting for re-verification would need to remit ₹1,000 per subject.
Applications, to be submitted to the respective headmasters or principals, will be accepted from 10 a.m. on June 20 to 11 p.m. on June 26.
Admissions to Open School courses
In a related announcement, the DEO said the APOSS, Amaravati, had notified the admission schedule for SSC and Intermediate courses for the academic year 2026-27. Admissions will open on June 12, and candidates can submit online applications until July 30. The last date for payment of the prescribed admission fee is July 31, while applications accompanied by a late fee of ₹200 will be accepted between August 1 and August 15.
