VISAKHAPATNAM: In a chilling case from Visakhapatnam, a 35-year-old Navy technician allegedly killed a 29-year-old woman, dismembered her body, disposed of some parts, and kept the remaining in a refrigerator at his house in LV Nagar under Gajuwaka police limits.The crime came to light only after the accused, Ch Ravindra, walked into a police station and surrendered, confessing to the killing.Police identified the victim as Mounika, a resident of the city, who was in a relationship with Ravindra. The accused is married, and his wife had reportedly left for her hometown in Vizianagaram a few weeks ago, leaving him alone at the residence.According to investigators, Ravindra called Mounika to his house on Sunday afternoon (March 29).
The two stayed together for several hours before an argument broke out in the evening.During the altercation, Ravindra allegedly killed her. He then dismembered the body, packed some parts in a bag and disposed of them at an isolated location. Other remains were kept inside a refrigerator in the house.Hours later, Ravindra approached the police, confessed to the crime, and surrendered.Police teams, acting on his statement, recovered several body parts from the residence. However, the victim’s head is still missing, and officers suspect it was disposed of separately.
