According to ESPN’s reputed senior NBA writer Shams Chirania's recent report on LeBron James, the basketball icon himself revealed the timeline behind his much-talked-about retirement. Chirania mentioned in one of his viral posts—“It remains to be seen if James will reach season No.

24 or beyond. James went out to dinner in New York City this past week with his wife, Savannah; Miami Heat big man Kevin Love and his wife, Kate; and other confidants, and one of the dinner guests posted a snippet of the night to Instagram where James can be heard saying, ‘[Savannah] wants me to (expletive) retire in the next year or so.”

The viral clip on Instagram dates back to LeBron James’ outing with his fellow teammate Kevin Love and his wife, Kate Love.

However, neither the Los Angeles Lakers star nor his entrepreneur wife, Savannah, has spoken about his retirement on social media or any other public platform. Looking at LeBron James’ records, he would be breaking a draw with Vince Carter with respect to the maximum number of NBA seasons played. One of the best aspects of LeBron James’ NBA career revolves around sharing another season with his eldest son, Bronny, on the Los Angeles Lakers. With more than two decades in the NBA, James has achieved what A-list athletes could only dream of. From having a crazy fan following on almost every continent to becoming one of the most prominent faces with respect to brand endorsements, LeBron James has almost achieved everything, and now his wife, Savannah James, wants him to focus on retirement.
