Babli's in-laws claimed that during her imprisonment, her eight-year-old son 'died by suicide'. She suspected them of killing him. Hence, she murdered her father-in-law

A twisted case of murder and revenge was reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra where a woman ‘lured’ her father-in-law along with her alleged lover and strangled him to death. The murder took place after the woman, imprisoned for killing her husband, had been released from jail. As the police began to investigate the case, more shocking details emerged.
The incident occurred in Mahal Badshahi village in Agra’s Bamraoli Katara late on Thursday. A report in Amar Ujala quoted DCP East Zone Ali Abbas as saying that one Prem Singh contacted the police and informed that he saw a body lying in a millet field.
Upon arrival, the police determined that the deceased was not from the village and promptly notified nearby police stations.
After the police alert, Munni Devi, a resident of Agwar village in Etmadpur, came forward and identified the deceased as her husband, Rajveer Singh (70).
Munni Devi informed the police that her son Hariom was murdered six years ago, and her daughter-in-law Babli was imprisoned for the crime. Babli served five years and four months in jail and was released 11 months ago.
Munni Devi claimed that Babli had an affair with Prem Singh (who had informed about the body), which led her to kill her husband. Munni Devi has two granddaughters and has been living in the Digner area with her two daughters for the past two months.
The deceased, Rajveer, reportedly wanted his daughter-in-law to leave both granddaughters at their place so they could be “raised properly". However, Babli was not willing to do so. On Wednesday afternoon, she called Rajveer and expressed her desire to discuss the matter to resolve the dispute. He agreed to talk, and at that time, he was having food at home. He left the house to meet her but did not return, following which his disappearance was reported to the police.
Woman’s Lover A ‘Habitual Criminal’
Amar Ujala quoted the DCP as saying that Babli’s ‘lover’ Prem Singh is a habitual criminal. In 2016, he was imprisoned in a rape case from Thana Dauki but was later released on bail.
Subsequently, he killed the husband of another woman in Firozabad due to an illicit relationship, following which he was imprisoned again.
Some other members of his family are also in jail. After some time, he was released again and used to visit his relatives. During one of these visits, he met an accused woman from Firozabad. At that time, Babli, who was a friend of the woman, was also in jail.
Babli had been jailed for the murder of her husband, and her family had stopped supporting her. Prem Singh spoke to the woman about arranging bail for Babli. The woman suggested that Prem Singh could marry Babli since he was unmarried. Prem Singh secured Babli’s bail 11 months ago.
After her release from jail, Babli began living with her two daughters, aged 16 and 17, at her in-laws’ house. The family revealed that during Babli’s imprisonment, her eight-year-old son “died by suicide", and she suspected her in-laws of having killed him. She harboured a grudge over this incident.
Two months ago, she moved to a rented room in Digner, bringing her daughters with her. However, Rajveer wanted his granddaughters to return home so that he could provide “proper care" for them. He had even submitted an application to the police, requesting their assistance in bringing the girls back.
