A dumper driver in Maharashtra rammed into his employer's car and dragged it along the road over unpaid wages. The incident took place in Dombivli, a distant suburb of Mumbai, in the early hours of Tuesday.

No one was injured in the incident, but the unoccupied car suffered severe damage. The driver, identified as Satyam, decided to damage his employer's car as he was upset over unpaid dues, police said.

Visuals showed Satyam driving the dumper, ramming into his employer’s car from behind and dragging it for some distance before stopping.

Alarmed by the noise and the sight of the damaged car being dragged, locals gathered quickly at the location. Some of them recorded videos of the incident, which have gone viral on social media.

Police registered a non-cognisable offence against the dumper driver following a complaint from the car owner. While preliminary investigation indicated non-payment of wages as the trigger for the incident, further investigation is expected to provide more details.

Following the incident, residents have called for strict measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
