Army foils infiltration bid in J&K's Bandipora, kills 2 terrorists at LoC

The Indian Army has foiled a major infiltration bid at the Line of Control (LOC), killing two terrorists. The anti-infiltration operation took place in North Kashmir's Bandipora area, near the Noshera region. Following the operation, in which two infiltrators were killed, the army has launched a search of the area. This is one of several recent attempts by terrorists from Pakistan to cross the LOC. A journalist on the broadcast noted a pattern of such attempts during adverse weather, stating, "When there is bad weather in the Kashmir valley, particularly in the area on the LoC when it is raining or snowing, the infiltrators try to take opportunity of bad weather, low visibility and try to infiltrate." A similar attempt was thwarted in the Uri sector days earlier, where two terrorists were also killed, indicating a high state of alert by Indian security forces along the LOC.
