The monkey grabbed the money bag and created chaos by throwing the notes from the top of a tree, leaving people shocked.Monkey targets moped trunk, runs off with bagAccording to India Today, Anuj Kumar, a resident of Dondapur village, went to the Bidhuna tehsil office with his father, Rohitash Chandra, for a land registration matter. They had ₹80,000 in cash, which they stored in their moped’s trunk.

While Rohitash was busy with paperwork and consulting his lawyer, a monkey managed to open the vehicle’s compartment and fled with the bag of money.Currency notes thrown from tree, crowd in chaosThe monkey climbed a tree nearby and began tearing and throwing the notes down. People standing around started rushing to collect the falling cash as it scattered in all directions. A video from the scene shows the crowd scrambling to grab the currency while the monkey continued to toss the notes.

Rs 28,000 missing after incidentFollowing the chaos, Rohitash could recover only Rs 52,000 from the original Rs 80,000, according to the India Today report. The remaining Rs 28,000 either got picked up by people present during the incident or was torn by the monkey and rendered unusable.Long-standing monkey trouble in tehsil compoundAccording to the report, locals have raised concerns over repeated monkey-related disturbances in the area. A person present at the scene said, “We cannot even eat food in the premises.
