WB and ADB team expresses satisfaction over Amaravati development works

team of the World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), which was on a three-day visit to Amaravati, has expressed satisfaction over the progress of development works taken up in the capital city.

CRDA Commissioner K. Kannababu, Amaravati Development Corporation Limited (ADCL) CMD D. Lakshmi Parthasarathy Bhasker and CRDA Additional Commissioners G. Surya Sai Praveen Chand and M. Naveen attended a workshop on urban governance held at the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) office here on Wednesday.

During the workshop, the WB/ADB team discussed the best practices in urban governance followed in various countries, and environmental protection measures with the top officials of CRDA and ADCL.

Mr. Kannababu explained the status of works, the land monetisation aspects being considered by the government, economic development, transport infrastructure, housing projects, private sector participation, and the provision of citizen services. Also, he mentioned the disaster management activities and comprehensive urban planning of the capital city.
