US President Donald Trump told Prime Minister Narendra Modi “we all love you" during a phone conversation, according to US envoy Sergio Gor. Speaking about the exchange, Gor said the remark was made by Trump during the leaders’ interaction, adding that the two world leaders share a close personal equation.

Gor also said PM Modi and Trump discussed the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. He added that some major deals, including in the energy sector, are expected between India and the United States in the coming days and weeks.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), said, “Received a call from my friend President Donald Trump. We reviewed the substantial progress achieved in our bilateral cooperation in various sectors. We are committed to further strengthening our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas. We also discussed the situation in West Asia and stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure."

The conversation comes amid continued high-level engagement between New Delhi and Washington, with both sides focused on expanding cooperation across trade, defence and strategic sectors. PM Modi and Trump have spoken multiple times this year, discussing progress on a bilateral trade deal as well as the evolving situation in West Asia.
