Minneapolis witnessed a horrific act of violence a few hours ago, as a shooting took place during a Catholic Mass at a Minneapolis Catholic school. The Catholic Mass was being attended by mostly young students when the shooting happened.

While Minneapolis is mourning the horrific tragedy, the Minnesota Vikings have released a statement about the incident.

A few hours ago, the Minnesota Vikings took to their social media to address a statement about the tragedy that happened at Annunciation Catholic School

The statement read as, "We are devastated by the horrific violence that took place at Annunciation Church in Minneapolis this morning. Our hearts are broken for the victims, their families, and all who have been impacted by this senseless and cowardly act."The statement added, "We are praying for the injured, those who witnessed the attack, and the first responders who were on the scene providing care and support during this tragedy." The caption of the post read as, “Statement from the #Vikings on the horrific violence that took place at Annunciation Church in Minneapolis this morning.”

The suspect has killed himself at the Minneapolis Catholic school’s parking lot after shooting at the church

As per TMZ, the shooter has been identified to be a 23 year old man named Robin Westman.

The Minneapolis authorities have confirmed that the shooter, Robin Westman, had some ties with the church.

As per CBS News, Robin Westman has passed away due to a self inflicted gunshot wound at the Minneapolis Catholic school’s parking lot.At the time of publishing, as per CNN and CBS News, it has been confirmed that two children have been killed, while 17 people have been wounded.Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara has clarified that the authorities have not been able to find a “motive” for the shooting.According to CNN, the suspect, 23 year old Robin Westman had graduated from the school in 2017.
