The long-standing rumors have been officially put to rest as the OTT platform confirmed and unveiled the first look at Lady Gaga's character in the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday.The pop superstar, whose involvement was confirmed at the 'Tudum' fan event in June, is set to make her debut in the second half of Season 2, which premieres on September 3. Fans got their first glimpse of her character, Rosaline Rotwood, through an official social media post from the streaming giant on September 1.

The reveal, captioned "A vision in venom. Here’s your first look at Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood," showed the singer and actress in a stunning white gown.
She can be seen with long blonde hair and matching eyebrows, a striking departure from her usual darker looks.In the image, Thing, the disembodied hand and a relative of Wednesday Addams, is seen resting on her shoulder. The OTT giant previously described Rosaline as a "mysterious and enigmatic" legendary teacher at Nevermore Academy who will cross paths with Wednesday.
Lady Gaga's new single to coincide with premiere
In a major treat for fans, Lady Gaga’s new single, 'The Dead Dance', will be released on the same day as Part 2 of 'Wednesday Season 2', September 3.
The announcement was made at the Graveyard Gala event in New York City. The platform shared the exciting news, quoting the pop star herself: “You heard it from Mother Monster. Lady Gaga’s new song, 'The Dead Dance' will be out on September 3 and in Wednesday Part II."The plot will follow Wednesday as she attempts to foil a prophecy, save her best friend Enid, and delve into a dark chapter of her family’s history that connects her to Tyler. The new season also features a stellar guest cast, including Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, and Fred Armisen.
