The Iran-Israel-America war entered its seventh day on Friday with mounting casualties and widespread destruction across Iran, following a massive coordinated military offensive launched by the United States and Israel on February 28, 2026.

Exclusive information and photographs accessed by CNN-News18 show extensive damage across several Iranian cities, with multiple buildings destroyed and neighbourhoods badly hit by continuous airstrikes during the first week of the war.

According to estimates, total deaths in Iran are believed to be between 2,114 and 2,662 people since the conflict began.

Of these, at least 1,114 deaths have been verified as civilians, while another 900 reported civilian deaths are currently under review, according to rights groups monitoring the war.

These organisations have warned that the civilian death toll is expected to rise significantly once verification of the additional fatalities is completed.

The conflict has also taken a heavy toll on Iran’s security establishment.

Reports indicate that between 1,000 and 1,500 Iranian military personnel have been killed, including 48 high-ranking government and military leaders.

Exclusive photographs accessed by CNN-News18 show damaged apartment blocks, burnt-out vehicles and buildings reduced to rubble, indicating the scale of destruction in several urban areas.

STRIKES REPORTED IN 16 IRANIAN CITIES

Information compiled by CNN-News18 suggests that at least 16 major Iranian cities and towns have been affected by the US-Israeli strikes. These include Tehran, Parand, Karaj, Minab, Bandar Abbas, Ahvaz, Isfahan, Qom, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Khorramabad, Tabriz, and Mashhad.

The strikes have reportedly targeted a combination of military facilities, strategic infrastructure and government-linked installations, though the damage has also extended into residential areas in several cities.

IRAN FIRES OVER 600 MISSILES, MORE THAN 2,200 DRONES

Iran has responded with a massive counter-offensive across the region.

According to figures accessed by CNN-News18, Iran has fired more than 600 missiles and launched over 2,200 drones within just six days of the war.

The strikes have targeted Israel as well as multiple Gulf countries hosting US military facilities, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

Iran has also attempted attacks on US naval assets operating in the Arabian Sea, signalling an effort to widen the military confrontation beyond the immediate Iran-Israel theatre.

The escalating exchanges have pushed West Asia into one of the largest regional conflicts in recent years, with several countries now either directly or indirectly affected by the fighting.

ISRAEL STRIKES “REGIME INFRASTRUCTURE" IN TEHRAN

According to AFP, Israel launched a new wave of strikes early Friday targeting what it described as “regime infrastructure" in Iran’s capital, Tehran.

Israeli officials have indicated that the campaign is aimed at crippling Iran’s military capabilities and weakening the country’s ruling establishment.

Meanwhile, NATO said it has strengthened its ballistic missile defence posture as Iran intensifies missile launches across the region.

The alliance’s 32 member states agreed to keep their missile defence systems at a heightened level after an Iranian missile launched toward NATO member Turkey was intercepted.

WAR SPREADS FROM LEBANON TO THE GULF

The widening war has spread across several countries in West Asia and beyond.

Lebanon was drawn into the conflict earlier this week after Hezbollah attacked Israel to avenge the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Lebanon’s health ministry said at least 123 people have been killed and more than 680 wounded since the country was pulled into the war on Monday.

Israel has carried out airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, which it says are targeting Hezbollah infrastructure.

The Israeli military issued an unprecedented evacuation warning for the entire area, urging residents to “save your lives and evacuate your residences immediately," triggering panic and massive traffic jams as civilians fled.

The conflict has also spread beyond West Asia.

A US submarine torpedoed an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka, while tensions also rose in Azerbaijan after a drone strike hit an airport, prompting threats of retaliation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi struck a defiant tone, telling NBC News that Tehran had not sought a ceasefire and saw no reason to negotiate with the United States.

Israel’s military chief Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, meanwhile, said the campaign against Iran was entering a “next phase", warning that Israel had “additional surprises ahead."
