While this has also sparked some negativity against him, Dan Burn has always spoken the truth as he has often reflected back on the incident that changed his life when he was just a young child.A few days ago, in an interview with Sky Sports, the Newcastle United’s star player Dan Burn opened up about the incident as he said, "So I'd been out with some friends, and I was showing off in front of a group of girls. I think a rabbit had got out and got into a community centre little bit.”The Newcastle United star player added, “So I jumped the fence, not knowing there was a gate around the corner, and I was wearing a ring, it was a ring I was given off my grandad, so it was made of an old shilling, sort of solid.
"Then the spike got caught in the ring, and when I jumped off, it ripped me."The popular defender opened up about how his arm went numb before he even realised the extent of his injury.Dan Burn said, "I couldn't see,...I was wearing like a waterproof. My hand went numb, so I thought I'd broken my arm or something. "Then I lifted the jacket off, and it was like, wow, that's not right."He added, “I don’t think I’ll ever forget that night.Newcastle United’s star player Dan burn admits facing a number of issues in his regular life after the traumatic incidentDespite the brutal injury, the English star player Dan Burn continued with his life like normal even as he faced many issues in his day to day life which changed after this traumatic incident at just 13 years of age.The star player recalled when he would go to McDonalds with his girlfriend and faced difficulty in exchanging money.The star player said, "I remember when I first started going out with my girlfriend, you used to use cash and money. So we used to go to McDonald's, you go through the drive-thru, hand over your money and when they give it back, I put my hand out, you put the coins there, the coins would fall between the gap of the car and the window.”Dan Burn admitted how contactless was the best thing for him as he added, "I'd open the door but I couldn't get the money back, so I would just have to leave it and just drive off.
So contactless was the best thing that ever happened to me.”

It’s been decades since then and the star player has adapted to his lifestyle and is one of the most elite athletes in the world.Despite debuting at 32, Dan Burn has proven his worth on the field.As England defeated Mexico, Dan Burn opened up about playing against them as he said, “The atmosphere was crazy. The national anthem of Mexico, I think I was nearly deaf by the end of it…”While there have been many reports of how the English players were not feeling their best as they faced Mexico, Dan Burn said, “It was an amazing thing.
I think it was a game which should be in this stadium, it was exciting.”As England gears up to face Norway in the quarter-finals in Miami on Saturday, defender Dan Burn opened up about it as, “There’s no surprise Norway are at this stage of the competition.The star player added, “I think from the qualifiers, they won every game, they have (Erling) Haaland who is one of the best strikers in the world, so it is going to be a huge challenge for us, but I just want to enjoy this one.”
