Back in 2006, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was a part of choreographer Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe. Before becoming a household name, he took part in several stage shows as a background dancer — one of the most notable being at the closing ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Australia.Dancing with Aishwarya Rai on global stageAs part of the troupe, Sushant performed behind Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a dazzling act representing India. The performance was a grand celebration, where Aishwarya took centre stage and extended an invitation to the Commonwealth nations for the 2010 Games in New Delhi.In the now-viral throwback video, Sushant is seen dancing right behind Aishwarya. Towards the end of the act, he is also seen helping lift her, along with a few other dancers.
Sushant had often spoken about his journey from being a backup dancer to becoming a leading Bollywood actor.Sushant was also part of the iconic song 'Dhoom Again' from 'Dhoom 2'. While Hrithik Roshan took the spotlight with his powerful dance moves, the 'M.S Dhoni' actor was showing off his move in the background.After years of hard work, Sushant made his TV debut with Pavitra Rishta, where he quickly became a fan favourite. His Bollywood debut came with 'Kai Po Che!' in 2013, which earned him critical acclaim.
He went on to star in hit films such as 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', 'Kedarnath', and 'Chhichhore'. His performances were often praised for their sincerity, charm and emotional depth. His final film, 'Dil Bechara', was released after his passing and remains a beloved tribute to his legacy.Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14 June 2020, at the age of 34.
