For Dara Singh, it was not just a role but a responsibility.Vindu also revealed that his father had given him clear instructions before taking on the role.

He had to keep himself pure by taking a bath and praying before performing. He had to abstain from non-vegetarian food on the days when he played Hanuman. Dara Singh had also told him how important it was to have clean thoughts and play the role with complete sincerity. He had even warned him that if these rules were not followed, there were consequences for his actions.

Even years after the show ended, Dara Singh would sometimes recite Hanuman’s dialogues in his sleep.
