 'I would have it all year long if I could'

Teja Sajja last year delivered the blockbuster hit 'HanuMan' and is back in action in a similar genre. With his latest film, 'Mirai,' hitting the theaters, his fans are delighted to watch their superhero back on the big screens.

Let's look back to the time when the younger actor shared his love for food and festive traditions.

Love for traditional food

In a throwback to a conversation he had last year with the Hindustan Times, Teja revealed that when it comes to food, his heart belongs to the special pachadi prepared during Ugadi, the Telugu New Year."I love Ugadi pachadi so much; I would have it all year long if I could. My family whips up a feast for the festival, like every other Telugu home," hesaid.

Discussing food with friends

The 'Mirai' star also mentioned that he enjoys chatting with friends about food and taking short breaks in between to get a bite."I am a massive foodie; given my way, I would eat anything and everything. Between shots, I sit and discuss food with my friends (and co-stars) like Getup Seenu and Satya," he added.For him, comfort food has its own magic. "There's just something magical about mudda pappu and pulusu (dal and stew)."

Interestingly, Teja also connected his festive love for food with his film career. He had said, "But this Ugadi, I hope that my next film makes waves too, HanuMan continues to get acclaim, and I deliver good films."

About 'Mirai'

Speaking of his latest release, 'Mirai,' it was released on September 12. The movie opened on a positive note with fans sharing their applause for the leads, Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj.The fantasy adventure thriller tells the story with Teja Sajja as a Super Yodha who has protected nine sacred scriptures from dark forces. Manchu Manoj plays the main antagonist in the film.
