There was a time when we would move homes every two months. I have been conscious of these things (struggles) ever since I was a child.”Mandanna also added how her childhood has moulded her and why she doesn’t take success lightly. “I am taking the liberty of recalling how they used to find it hard to search for a place for us to live and pay the rent. In my heart, I am still that girl who could not even buy a toy,” the actress said.

Mandanna further added, “I respect the money I earn, the love I receive, and the acknowledgement that I get as an actor. My childhood memories don’t let me take my success lightly, because I know this will not last forever."

The quiet sacrifice behind the success

And in the last eight years, since I started working, I haven’t seen her grow up. She’s almost my height now, and I couldn’t even see this journey,” she said. Working around the clock is not that glamorous. “I’ve realised that we’re always going on and on and on. But recently it just shook me to my core—almost in a sad way—that I’m missing out on so much. I haven’t gone home in one and a half years. I don’t get to see my friends. Earlier, they would at least include you in the plans. Now they don’t even do that. And that’s the sad reality,” she added.
