When Yash queued up to buy ‘Mungaru Male’ tickets for his ‘Preethi Illada Mele’ co-stars

Even before he became a superstar in all of India, Yash, was just another determined young actor trying to make a name for himself on TV. Veteran actress Padmaja Rao recently talked about a moving scene from the hit Kannada movie Mungaru Male that was about his early career. Padmaja Rao told Mayur Raghavendra on a podcast that Yash once bought tickets for everyone who worked on the popular Kannada daily soap Preethi Illada Mele so they could all go see Mungaru Male together in a packed theater.Ganesh and Pooja Gandhi starred in the 2006 movie Mungaru Male, which became a cultural phenomenon in Karnataka. The movie about love broke box office records and played in theaters for more than a year. Mano Murthy's music became very popular, and songs like "Anisuthide" became huge hits that will never go out of style.

Ganesh became the "Golden Star" of Kannada cinema after the movie did well. It is still one of the most well-known things in the business.

Padmaja Rao said that it was very hard to get tickets to Mungaru Male when it was at its best because theaters were full of excited fans even weeks after it came out. The cast of Preethi Illada Mele, on the other hand, was very excited to see the movie because Padmaja played Pooja Gandhi's mother in it.

Even though the lines outside the theaters were still long in the second week, the team decided to go see the movie together. Padmaja remembered that Yash went to the theater counter by himself and stood in line to buy tickets for everyone, just like everyone else. Padmaja said with love that he went to the counter in the middle of the rush and bought the tickets for us all so we could see the movie together. Yash was in Preethi Illada Mele at the time, where he played the younger son in the family.

Rocky, the character he played on the show, wanted to be an actor, which was a hint at how he got into the business. The show helped Yash's career a lot. It helped him become more well-known and gave him the skills he needed to move from TV to movies. Not long after that, he made his first movie and slowly became known in Kannada films. Years later, the same young TV actor who used to stand in line to buy movie tickets for his coworkers would become one of India's biggest movie stars, known for blockbuster films and a huge fan base all over the country. Padmaja Rao's memory shows us how Yash went from being a humble actor who helped out and made small but memorable moments with his team to becoming famous.
