As quoted by India Today, she said, “The fire started during my performance because of a short circuit. I was shocked. The music suddenly stopped, and I didn’t understand what happened.
I started looking for the exit.”Her account reflects the confusion and panic that swept through the venue. The music stopped, the crowd grew frantic, and the atmosphere flipped from celebration to chaos. “I was just crying, my hand is still shaking,” she added, her voice trembling as she recounted the trauma.

As the fire spread, Kristina’s first instinct was to run towards her changing room, a decision that could have been fatal.
A crew member intervened just in time.“My first instinct was to go to my changing room. But my crew member said, ‘Don’t go there’. The fire was already at that location. That saved my life,” she recalled.Kristina referred to the crew member as an “Indian god”, crediting him for saving her. According to India Today’s report, had she taken even a few steps in that direction, she might not have made it out.
