Salim Dola has been linked to multiple major drug seizures involving heroin, charas, mephedrone, mandrax, and methamphetamine across Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Salim Dola, a close associate of terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, has been extradited to India. He has been accused of peddling drugs in the country and is allegedly involved in major drug seizures.

Dola (59) was detained by the Turkish Intelligence Agency on Saturday, following inputs from India’s agencies. He had a Red Notice issued against him and was brought to Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday.

Calling it zero tolerance against the Narco syndicate, Home Minister Amit Shah said no place is safe for drug kingpins, no matter where they hide.

“Under Modi government’s mission to ruthlessly smash drug cartels, our anti-narcotics agencies have extended their claws across borders through a robust network of global agencies." “Now, no matter where they hide, no place is safe for drug kingpins," Shah said on X.

Who Is Salim Dola?

Salim Dola is a close associate of D-Company and Dawood Ibrahim. He is believed to operate a multi-million dollar synthetic drug network, primarily based in the United Arab Emirates. Reports suggest he has earned over Rs 100 crore in the past two years.

Dola has been linked to multiple major drug seizures involving heroin, charas, mephedrone, mandrax, and methamphetamine across Maharashtra and Gujarat. He is alleged to play the role of a bulk supplier to downstream drug distribution networks in India.

In addition, Salim Dola is wanted by the Gujarat ATS and the Mumbai Police. Over the years, he had established a major transnational drug trafficking syndicate spanning several countries in the Middle East, Africa and Europe, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

Earlier, his son Tahil Salim Dola and other associates were arrested by Mumbai police after deportation/extradition from the UAE in 2025.
