Shane Tamura has been identified as the gunman behind Monday’s shooting at a high-rise building in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, that killed at least four people.

The incident unfolded around 6:30 pm at 345 Park Avenue, a building that houses major offices, including the NFL and Blackstone, where Tamura entered and opened fire, striking a police officer and two others. He was later found dead on the 33rd floor from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Who Is He?

Tamura, reportedly a 27-year-old native of Las Vegas, had a background in football and graduated high school in 2016. Unconfirmed reports suggest he once played as a standout running back for Granada Hills and held a Nevada concealed carry permit, a photo of which has surfaced online.
