Mahindra has announced a full buyback option for early buyers of the BE 6 Batman Edition, following backlash from customers after the company reintroduced what was originally marketed as a limited-run model.

The move comes as several owners expressed dissatisfaction online when a second batch of the special edition was put back on sale.In an official communication sent to customers, Mahindra has offered to repurchase the BE 6 Batman Edition from those who bought the first batch. The buyback option is available for a limited period of 30 days from March 18, and interested owners will need to approach their respective dealerships to initiate the process.

The offer is applicable only to customers who purchased vehicles from the initial batch. The controversy began earlier this month when Mahindra reopened bookings for the Batman Edition. The second batch, comprising 999 units, was sold out in just 135 seconds. However, the decision to bring back the model did not go down well with existing owners, many of whom had purchased the car believing it to be a strictly limited edition.
