AYODHYA/LUCKNOW: Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the Ram temple complex in Ayodhya, is not accountable to either the central or the Uttar Pradesh government.

The Union ministry of home affairs told the Central Information Commission on February 20 last year that all decisions are taken internally by the trust, with the authority resting solely with its permanent trustees.
This clears a key legal question ahead of the trust's crucial July 6 meeting where the future of general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra, who also handles key administrative responsibilities, is expected to be discussed.
