Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, for the first time after assuming the post, went to his ancestral village, Lakhanpur, on Sunday (April 26, 2026) under the Tarapur Assembly constituency, which he represents.

Addressing a public meeting in Munger, Mr. Choudhary warned against red-tapism and said strict action will be taken against any official found holding up files for a period exceeding one month. He further said that the objective of his government is to ensure that basic amenities reach the household of every resident of Bihar and government services are made easily accessible to all.
