Woman booked for assaulting a sanitation worker over objection to roadside garbage dumping

A woman was booked for assaulting a sanitation worker in Deenabandhu Colony, Kukatpally, after being asked not to dump garbage on the road, police said.

According to Jagadgirigutta Inspector B. Venkatesham, the accused, whose identity is yet to be established, arrived on a motorcycle with a bag of garbage and dumped it on the roadside. The incident was reported on Friday (June 28, 2026).

When the sanitation worker objected and requested the woman not to throw the waste on the road, an argument ensued. Police said the woman assaulted the worker during the altercation.

The sanitation worker was dragged by her hair and slapped by the accused before she fled the spot.

Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s associate Maibu, the Jagadgirigutta police registered a case and launched efforts to trace and identify the accused woman.
