Rajitha had trapped and duped several unemployed youngsters in the twin Telugu states
Tirupati: Sydapuram police in Nellore district arrested a conwoman who has been duping lakhs of rupees from unemployed youth and eventually handing out fake call letters to them.According to Sydapuram CI Srinivas Rao, the accused identified as Bathala Rajitha was arrested based on a complaint lodged by Pujari Chandana, a resident of Kalichedu village.Police investigation revealed that Rajitha took ₹52 lakh in instalments from Chandana by promising her a job at State Bank of India. In the end, Rajitha handed out a fake appointment letter and an identity card to Chandana, which promoted the victim to lodge a formal police complaint.While the accused was subsequently produced before the local court and sent to judicial remand, it has emerged that Rajitha had trapped and duped several unemployed youngsters in a similar modus operandi in the twin Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the past.Sydapuram CI Srinivas Rao stated that a thorough investigation was underway to ascertain the role of others in this job scam. He appealed to victims to reach out to the police in case they were duped by Rajitha in a similar manner.
