Woman injured in parking dispute in Pimple Gurav; family of three booked

Pune: The Sangvi police on Tuesday registered a case against a family of three for allegedly thrashing a 53-year-old woman following a parking dispute.The complainant woman sustained a fracture to her right thumb in the incident.

A case under Section 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and other relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered against the family members — the man, his wife and their son.An officer from the Sangvi police said the complainant and the accused reside in neighbouring buildings in Pimple Gurav. The complainant and the trio had a heated argument over parking their vehicles in the lane. “The trio abused the woman and her nephew. One of them twisted the woman’s hand, causing her thumb to fracture,” the officer said. He added that the woman later approached the police and lodged a complaint. “We have issued a notice to the trio.
