Woman kills husband with help of ex-husband

A woman and her ex-husband were booked by the Moinabad police for murdering her husband and dumping his body in a well near a dairy farm in Aziz Nagar on Saturday, August 23. The accused have been identified as Poonam Devi, 23, and her ex-husband Guddu alias Mahesh.

ACP Chevella B. Kishan said that Poonam and her husband, Rakesh Kumar, 24, both natives of Bihar, had been working at the dairy farm for the past month. “The complaint was lodged by the farm owner, Sama Rupesh Reddy, who told us that Rakesh had gone missing since the night of August 21. He claimed that he saw Poonam with Guddu at the farm the next morning, however, both were missing when he returned the next day,” said the officer.

Meanwhile, Moinabad Inspector G. Pavan Kumar Reddy said that as per preliminary enquiry, Rakesh was Poonam’s second husband. “According to the agent, Pawan who hired the couple, Poonam had earlier been married to Guddu before Rakesh. Guddu arrived in Moinabad two days before Rakesh went missing,” he said.

When contacted by Pawan, Poonam allegedly admitted over the phone that she and Guddu had killed Rakesh and disposed of his body near the farm well. Pawan then conveyed this information to the complainant, who approached the police.

A case was booked and an investigation is underway.
