Woman murder case to be transferred to Maharashtra

The Belagavi police will transfer the murder case of a woman killed by her relatives to the Maharashtra police as the alleged offence occurred in Maharashtra.

The Yamakanamaradi police had uncovered a murder case that the family was trying to pass off as a missing person case. They had arrested three persons after a detailed investigation. Superintendent of Police K. Ramarajan told reporters in Belagavi on Wednesday (April 15) that the case will be transferred to Maharashtra as the alleged offence was committed in Araga in Sangli district.
