Woman murders husband near Erode

ERODE: The Gobichettipalayam police in Erode district on Wednesday arrested a 38-year-old woman on charges of murdering her husband. According to police, Amudha, 38, of Pichandampalayam stabbed her husband, S Thangaraj, 41, to death following a family dispute on Wednesday.Gobichettipalayam DSP Srinivasan said Thangaraj, who was a drunkard, used to quarrel with Amudha after consuming alcohol.On Wednesday, Thangaraj returned home drunk and engaged in a heated argument with her. "Amudha grabbed a knife and stabbed him to death," the DSP said.The couple have two children.
