In a case that has shocked civic workers and the police alike, the body of a woman, aged around 30, was found packed in a sack and dumped in a parked garbage truck by the roadside in Chennammanakere Achukattu in the wee hours of Sunday.
“The incident came to light when the truck driver and some civic workers discovered the body in the truck and alerted us. The deceased’s age is between 25 to 30 years. The neck and her legs were tied in the sack. We have taken up a murder case,” C. Vamsi Krishna, joint commissioner of police (West), Bengaluru city police said.
Further investigations have revealed the identity of the victim as Pushpa alias Asha, a resident of Hulimavu and working in a private firm as a contract employee.
