The Chief Justice of India on Monday made strong remarks while hearing the West Bengal Special Intensive Revision (SIR) case, saying that unauthorised persons and intruders would not be included in the electoral process.

The CJI clarified that judicial officers are overseeing the exercise and ensured that all genuine voters would be included. Expressing displeasure over allegations against members of the judiciary, the CJI said he was irked by aspersions being cast on judicial officers handling the process.

“As CJI, I won’t tolerate this. I am issuing a stern warning," he said, pointing out that the integrity of judicial officers must not be questioned without basis.
