After a tough fight between current 17-time World Champion John Cena and his arch-rival CM Punk at WWE Night of Champions 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Cenation Leader has once-again proved why he is the World Champion by retaining his WWE Undisputed Champion title that he earned this year on WrestleMania 41 against The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. The predictions made by WWE have come true as John Cena has once again been successful in retaining his much-coveted title from several top-tier talents who challenged him. From Randy Orton to CM Punk, John Cena has proved all of them wrong and remained firm in his position. John Cena retains his WWE Undisputed Championship title at Night of Champions 2025

John Cena, the WWE World Champion who is currently on his farewell tour, has again managed to retain his WWE Undisputed Champion title against his arch-rival CM Punk.

The jam-packed crowd at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, witnessed a nostalgic moment and had that “one last time” magic.The promotion opened with thunderous applause when both John Cena and CM Punk made their entry to their respective theme songs. The crowd welcomed The Voice of Voiceless, cheering loudly for him. This was followed by the Cenation Leader’s entry on his iconic theme song “The Time is Now,” making the fans sing aloud.

The match served as a reminiscent to the Riyadh fans of the time when Punk took the WWE Championship in 2011 after beating Cena to win the title, but The Second City Saint maintains that he was trying to save WWE and not ruin it. Following all the significant segments, the most-awaited segment of WWE began with the entry of John Cena and CM Punk.The match began with a side headlock by John Cena on CM Punk. Cena gradually started taking control over the match and executed a suplex on CM Punk, while the Second City Saint attacked Cena with several GTS.

This was followed by a five knuckle shuffle from Cena and AA, but Punk countered at the right time with GTS. But Cena countered it in the air and locked him in the STF.

As the match further develops, John Cena hits a third AA on Punk. Cena was next seen getting out of the ring to bring his belt, planning to hit Punk with the belt, but dropped it upon fans' request. He listened to the fans for the first time since turning heel. CM Punk delivers another GTS, but the official isn't here.

He is down and out now, having been hit by Cena, and is out of the ring. Meanwhile, Cena also attacks the referee of the match, prompting the crowd to go frenzy at the development.


Seth Rollins enters the scene with Bron Breakker, Paul Heyman, and Bronson Reed

The segment does not end there. When CM Punk called for another referee, Seth Rollins entered the scene with the MITB briefcase, accompanied by Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. No sooner had they intervened, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed attacked CM Punk and planted him on the announcers' table.

Meanwhile, Penta and Sami Zayn entered the scene but was put down by Bron Breakker. Taking advantage of the situation, Bronson Reed was looking for Tsunami on Cena, but Punk pushed him off the top rope. As Punk tried to shake hands and shared a hug with John Cena, the latter attempted an attack on CM Punk.
