After a blockbuster Survivor Series: WarGames event, an action-packed WWE Raw episode lived up to the fans’ expectations on Monday, December 1.
The Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, USA, witnessed two high-octane battles, with the storyline continuing in the Last Time Is Now tournament and a World Tag Team Championship clash capturing everyone’s imagination. Here is how the results panned out at this week’s Monday Night Raw.
Last Time is Now Tournament Semifinal: Jey Uso vs LA Knight
Uso and Knight renewed their longstanding rivalry after a halt at the Survivor Series: WarGames, where Uso lost. Knight, who won his clash with The Miz on SmackDown last week, seemed determined to keep his opponent down with a place in the tournament final up for grabs.
A close-fought battle saw Uso deliver a spear and Knight retaliating with a Megaplex. Even the usually decisive Uso splash didn’t give Uso control of the contest as The Megastar executed a crucifix roll-up. Uso’s downward spiral continued, with Knight soon securing a pinfall and advancing closer to the title.
World Tag Team Title Match: AJ Styles and Dragon Lee vs. The New Day
The New Day pairing of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods faced up against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee for the World Tag Team Championship belt.
The New Day managed to take down Lee first up and almost isolated him from his teammate. But a tag to Styles paved the way for his team’s fantastic comeback. The Phenomenal One hammered Kingston before Lee came off the top rope with a double stomp on him. Inspired by his partner, Lee smashed Woods, as Styles went for his trademark Styles Clash and executed the pinfall for his team’s victory.
Multiple Promos
This week’s Monday Night Raw was stacked with promos on the heels of the Survivor Series: WarGames, with the winners of the WWE PPV flaunting their titles and confirming their next set of battles inside the ring.
Having been part of the winning team for the women’s WarGames fixture, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky kicked off the Raw episode and challenged The Kabuki Warriors — Asuka and Kairi Sane — for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. But their Survivor Series teammates, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, took exception and challenged them for a separate clash.
Elsewhere, the Dirty Dom proudly held his Intercontinental Championship crown after defeating the legendary John Cena. He also gave props to his Judgment Day teammates Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh, Roxanne Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez for helping him out.
Bron Breakker’s rivalry with CM Punk is also set to continue in the upcoming episodes after The Vision’s champion wrestler pledged to keep him down after the Survivor Series win.
