As WWE is preparing to host another grand Premium Live Event, SummerSlam 2025, on August 2 and August 3, 2025, the Stamford-based promotion is back with another exciting edition of SmackDown on July 18.

This episode of the Blue Brand will serve as the fallout show for last week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event as well as the all-women’s PLE, Evolution. The show will emanate live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.The show will feature several top-tier talents, including Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Alexa Bliss, Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, Solo Sikoa, Chelsea Green, and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.

John Cena and Cody Rhodes to come face-to-face in SummerSlam contract signing

WWE Superstar John Cena and The American Nightmare will come face-to-face in SummerSlam contract signing in tonight’s SmackDown event. The Cenation Leader faced Rhodes in a heated battle during WrestleMania 41 for the Undisputed Championship title, which John Cena clinched from Rhodes in the Show of Shows. Now, the duo will be seen together again in the upcoming SummerSlam event for the WWE Undisputed Championship.

According to WWE, in this edition of SmackDown, the self-professed "Last Real Champion" and The American Nightmare will make their match official.

WWE Women’s Champions Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez to appear

Besides Cody Rhodes and John Cena, WWE Women’s Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez are all set to appear on today’s edition of SmackDown. Earlier, the duo, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, emerged victorious in a fatal four-way battle. They defeated teams from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. Fans are excited to witness what the champions will serve tonight on the Blue Brand promotions.
