WWE returned to the United States for the June 12 episode of SmackDown from the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. The show featured the final opening round matches of the ongoing King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

Furthermore, it featured a heated in-ring segment between Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn, in which the champion was struck hard on the face, leading to Gunther picking Zayn as the Special Guest Referee for his WWE title match next week.

Charlotte Flair vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Sol Ruca vs. Jade Cargill

The night kicked off with the Queen of the Ring opening round match featuring Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria, Jade Cargill, and Sol Ruca. The explosive Fatal 4-Way saw Alexa Bliss and Tiffany Stratton take out Cargill's allies Michin and B-Fab, leveling the field.

The match ended when Flair hit a big boot on Valkyria, then made her tap out of the Figure 8.

Brie Bella & Paige vs. Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid

This was a non-title match between WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Brie Bella and Paige, and Fatal Influence's Lainey Reid and Fallon Henly. The final of the moments of the exciting match saw Paige use a small package with some leverage from Brie to score the pinfall.

Rey Fenix vs. Axiom

Rey Fenix defended the AAA Cruiserweight against Axiom. It was a spectacular sight to witness amazing lucha libre action between them, and it ended with Fenix hitting the Muscle Buster to win and retain his title.

Chelsea Green & Tiffany Stratton vs. Michin & B-Fab

The match was made after the opening match and a backstage altercation between both sides. It was an enthralling match to see and concluded with Michin hitting Chelsea Green with the Styles Clash to win the bout for her team.

Royce Keys vs. Finn Balor vs. LA Knight vs. Jey Uso

The main event was the Fatal 4-Way opening round match in the King of the Ring tournament. It was a chaotic affair that enthralled the audience throughout. In the end, Solo Sikoa ran interference and hit the Samoan Spike on LA Knight, leading to Royce Keys hitting a slam.
