Earlier reports indicated the project is in pre-production and will be Yami Gautam's first team-up with Aanand L Rai. As per Mid-Day, she headlines the horror-comedy ‘Nayi Naveli’, produced by Aanand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions. Drawing from Indian folklore, the film is slated to begin shooting in February 2026.
