Yathindra draws line between legacy politics and JD(S) ‘family politics’

Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Congress MLC, has sought to make it clear that the “family politics” in JD(S) was distinct from his entry into politics to take forward his father’s legacy.

Speaking to reporters in Mysuru on Wednesday, Dr. Yathindra said his father did not bring him into politics for “collection” of bribes as alleged by Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy, but to assist him in politics after his elder brother died. Noting that he became an MLA and later an MLC, Dr. Yathindra said there is a need to take his father’s political legacy forward and protect the interests of his followers.
