'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' 23rd March written update: Arman confesses his love for Abhira

The episode of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' opens with Abhira questioning Arman about whether he is having a fast. Arman admits he is fasting out of concern for Damyanti, worried she might catch him eating.

He then turns the question around and asks Abhira if she is fasting as well. Abhira casually mentions that she did not get a chance to eat, to which Arman immediately suspects she is not being entirely truthful. Abhira then opens up and admits that since she had decided to take part in the ritual, she felt she should follow it through completely.

Tanya stands empty-handed, and Abhira steps in

Meanwhile, Kaveri, Madhav, and Manoj present a gift to Kajal, which unexpectedly moves her to tears.

Concerned, the three ask if something is wrong with the gift. Kajal explains that her heart goes out to Tanya, who, like every year, stands empty-handed with no one to gift her anything. Krish reveals that he used to bring gifts on behalf of Tanya's family, but she stopped him, saying she misses Anshuman deeply. Aryaman then explains to Damyanti that after Tanya lost her parents, Anshuman had become her only family.Stepping in with warmth, Abhira presents Tanya with a gift from her parental side, telling her that as her friend, she is more than happy to perform the ritual on her behalf.

Tanya is deeply touched by the gesture. However, Meher grows uneasy watching this and warns Vidya to keep Abhira in check before she wins over the entire Poddar family and takes Arman along with them. The warning leaves Vidya visibly anxious.

Arman catches Abhira and confesses his love

As Abhira stands alone, Kaveri makes her way to speak with her. However, Aryan and Disha intervene and hint to Kaveri that Abhira needs someone else entirely. The two then cleverly scheme to bring Abhira and Arman together, maneuvering them into crossing paths in Aryan's room.While Arman searches for Aryan's medicine, a small argument breaks out between him and Abhira. Arman questions why Abhira never listens to him. Undeterred, Abhira attempts to climb the cupboard to retrieve the medicine herself. Arman warns her to be careful, and just as she is about to lose her balance, he rushes forward and catches her. At that very moment, Meher is seen searching for Arman elsewhere. After the near fall, Abhira asks Arman if he is alright.

Arman, flustered, asks how she can worry about him when the cupboard was nearly about to come crashing down on her. Abhira brushes it off with regret, but before she can walk away, Arman stops her. As she bitterly remarks that it would have been better for him had she gotten hurt, Arman can no longer hold back and confesses his love for her. Abhira stands frozen in shock. Meher, who overhears everything, completely loses her composure.

Meher makes her move against Abhira

Trying to process what just happened, Abhira attempts to respond, but Arman cuts in and acknowledges that she might think he is being overly emotional. He pours his heart out, telling her that her absence had cost him the most and that he felt completely helpless without her. Abhira remains speechless.Meanwhile, a shaken Meher goes looking for Krish and asks him to bring her auspicious plate. Krish, sensing something is off, asks what is going on.

Meher simply says something is about to happen. Tanya, watching Meher from a distance, starts to feel uneasy.Later, Meher corners Vidya and tells her straight that Arman has proposed to Abhira again and that she should start preparing herself. She reminds Vidya that she had been warned, that she had every chance to do something and chose not to, and now she will have to sit back and watch Myra and Arman's life unravel.
