'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' opens with Mamta, Manisha, and Kajal performing a dance at the sangeet celebrations. Disha gets emotional watching her mother and thanks Abhira, telling her it is because of her that she got to witness this moment.
Abhira tells Disha to keep encouraging her mother from time to time. Disha promises she will.
Arman avoids Abhira
Arman is distracted, looking for Myra and wondering what she is going to ask of him today. Abhira tries to speak to him, telling him she wants to talk about what happened the previous night. Arman brushes her off. When she corners him again and asks if he is deliberately avoiding her, he says he has an important meeting. Abhira presses him, telling him he was the one who said I love you first, and now he is acting as though she is chasing him.
Arman tells her he does not want to discuss the rainy night and asks her to leave it alone. They agree, at least out loud, to stay away from each other.Abhira then shifts the conversation to Myra's demand. She tells Arman he should agree to whatever Myra asks, that Myra having a condition means she still has hope in him, and that he is lucky for it. She says even if Myra asks him to throw her out of the house, he should allow it.
Damyanti surprises everyone
Madhav asks Disha and Aryan to perform with Damyanti. Aryan and Disha are not sure she will actually go through with it.
Damyanti surprises them both by stepping onto the floor and performing with them. The moment is unexpected and warm, and the episode uses it to show a softer side of a woman who has spent most of the show being an obstacle.
Myra's condition changes everything
Abhira drifts into a dream where she is dancing with Arman and Myra. In the dream, Myra tells her that Arman deserves a happy ending just like Disha and Aryan, that he needs to move on, and that the way he moves on is by marrying Meher.
Abhira and Arman are both stunned. Even Meher, in the dream, asks Myra why she did not discuss this with her or Arman first. Myra is certain Arman will agree.The dream ends, but the reality is worse. Myra has actually made this demand. She tells Arman she met Meher to find a solution to their problems and that this is her condition. Arman is shattered. He gets angry. Vidya, however, is overjoyed.
Meher confesses her love
Vidya asks Meher directly if she wants to marry Arman and why. Meher confesses that she loves him. Vidya immediately hugs her and gives her a blessing. Meher tells Vidya that Arman has not agreed yet. Vidya tells her Myra will convince him. Abhira stands in the middle of all of this, absorbing every word, every look, every implication. Vidya catches Abhira's eye and holds it deliberately. The episode ends on that silent exchange between two women who understand each other perfectly and have nothing left to say out loud.Precap: Kaveri tells Vidya that Arman is not a child whose hand she can simply hand over to Meher. Arman refuses to agree to Myra's condition. Myra blames Abhira, saying it is because of her that Arman will not marry Meher.
