KANPUR: The ‘naagin' drama in Auraiya's Singanpur village has got a fresh twist, with the 21-year-old woman, who reportedly sparked mystery by ditching her home and abandoning a five-foot serpentine slough, resurfacing late Thursday, claiming she is now happily married.In the first video since her dramatic disappearance, Reena is seen sporting a yellow sari, sindoor, bindi, and mangalsutra, with her lover by her side. The video, dropped on her lover's Instagram, shows Reena saying, "I married him willingly. Leave him and his family alone."In the second video, Reena said she married by choice. "I wanted to be with him, no one else," she says, pleading for space. "Just leave us be, that's all I want."A dramatic turn of events unfolded in Singanpur village as Reena eloped with her lover on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, leaving behind a trail of eerie clues — a 5-foot snake slough, bangles, rings, and clothes on her bed, suggesting a mysterious transformation.Her family discovered the snake slough on her bed on Monday morning, sparking claims that she had transformed into a serpent, prompting villagers to alert the authorities.

Police said that the family was pushing for a different match, but Reena had other plans. She scripted her own Bollywood-esque escape to be with her lover.According to police, the girl's father filed a case against an unknown person for enticing and eloping with her. Police formed three teams considering the seriousness of the case and tried to trace the location through the Instagram ID.Reports suggest Reena had been planning her exit for three months.

She visited Sheshnag temple in Kumhel, Mainpuri, and brought back a snake idol, later claiming to see snakes in her dreams. She took only the idol when she left home.Investigations revealed Reena was in touch with a local guy via her mom's phone. Cops tracked the number and put it under surveillance, leading them to the man's number, who's now being searched by the police.Station in-charge Ajay Kumar said three teams were formed to search for the young woman. With the help of surveillance, efforts are being made to find the location through the Instagram ID and mobile number. Further investigation is on.
