'Yes': Elon Musk Backs Post Calling For Ro Khanna's Arrest Amid DOGE Spending Row

Fresh off becoming the world’s first trillionaire following SpaceX’s blockbuster IPO, Elon Musk has sparked a new political storm by endorsing a social media post calling for the arrest of Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna.

Responding with a one-word “Yes", Musk backed a post by the X account DogeDesigner, which accused Khanna of attacking him despite the U.S. Department of Justice announcing that a USAID official and several executives had pleaded guilty in a bribery scheme involving more than $550 million in contracts.

The post claimed Khanna was seeking investigations into Musk over spending cuts carried out by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). It further argued that DOGE’s objective was to ensure taxpayer-funded foreign aid reached intended recipients and was not stolen or misused.

The post also referred to the California lawmaker as “Ro ‘the Robber’ Khanna" and concluded by saying he “should be in prison." Musk responded to the post with “Yes."

Ro Khanna Calls For Musk’s Probe Over DOGE Spending Cuts

Musk’s reaction came days after Khanna called for investigations into the billionaire over his role in sweeping government spending cuts through DOGE.

Speaking on the “I’ve Had It" podcast, Khanna said, “I do believe once we take power, there needs to be accountability. There needs to be accountability for Elon Musk. You know, they’re celebrating that he created 4,400 millionaires, but they don’t talk about the 4.5 million children around the world who he possibly sentenced to death by dismantling USAID."

Khanna further argued that Musk should be questioned over the spending reductions implemented through DOGE.

“He needs to answer for that. He needs to be subpoenaed. He needs to face an investigation. He needs to answer for what he did with DOGE. It’s not just ‘let’s move on,'" the Congressman added.

The exchange marks the latest escalation in the public feud between Musk and Khanna over DOGE’s cost-cutting measures and the impact of USAID funding cuts.
