Yogi Adityanath will launch and lay foundation stones for multiple projects in Ayodhya and Basti. The visit gains added attention amid the Ram temple donation controversy and a renewed push on welfare delivery.

He would inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various development projects in several other constituencies in Ayodhya district.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a series of development projects in Ayodhya and Basti, while also distributing benefits under various government welfare schemes to beneficiaries in the two districts.
The chief minister launched projects in the Bikapur Assembly constituency of Ayodhya district and the Harraiya and Kaptanganj Assembly constituencies of Basti district. During the programme, he also handed over cheques, sanction letters, certificates and assistance material to beneficiaries of several state welfare schemes.
Addressing the gathering, Adityanath said the government's focus remained on ensuring that development and welfare reached every section of society.
In a post on X ahead of the event, the chief minister said, "When development is linked with public welfare and the benefits of government schemes reach the person standing at the last rung of society, good governance becomes the foundation of public trust."
He said the projects marked the beginning of a new phase of development and public welfare in Shri Ayodhya Dham, the city associated with Lord Ram, and in Basti, the land linked to Maharishi Vashishtha's penance.
'GOVT FOCUSED ON INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT'
Reiterating the government's commitment to inclusive development, Adityanath said infrastructure expansion and the effective implementation of welfare schemes were central to improving the lives of people across the state.
"It is the resolve of the double-engine government that the benefits of development should reach every citizen and public welfare should become a means of bringing positive change in the life of every family," he said.
The projects inaugurated and launched during the visit are aimed at strengthening infrastructure and supporting the region's overall development. Officials said the programmes also focused on ensuring that eligible beneficiaries received assistance under various flagship welfare initiatives.
The visit formed part of the Uttar Pradesh government's broader development agenda, which seeks to combine infrastructure growth with last-mile delivery of welfare schemes. Through the project launches and distribution of benefits, the government said it aims to accelerate development while ensuring that public welfare initiatives reach people at the grassroots level.
