“You know she’s controlling”: Travis Kelce loyalty questioned after friend calls Taylor Swift controlling the wedding list

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift got engaged on August 26, 2025, in Kansas City, and the buzz around their wedding keeps growing. But not everyone close to Kelce is sure they will be part of the big day.

Comedian Andrew Santino, who has been friends with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end for years, said during an interview on the Pardon My Take podcast on September 12 that he doubts he will get an invite. Santino joked that Taylor Swift is “controlling that guest list,” and he does not expect to make the cut.

On the Pardon My Take show, Andrew Santino explained that even though Travis Kelce is one of his close friends, he feels the wedding guest list will be handled differently. “I doubt it. I mean, I highly doubt it dude. I don’t think I got that invite,” Santino said. He added with a laugh, “You know she’s controlling that guest list. I’m not on that list.”

Santino shared that he and his father played golf just two days before the podcast taping. During the game, they FaceTimed Travis Kelce to congratulate him on the engagement. The comedian admitted he might still get invited to a bachelor party, but he is not counting on being at the ceremony.

He also said Kelce has many childhood friends from Ohio who will certainly be there.“He’s got a lot of dogs from Ohio that he’s loyal to… They grew up with him and everything. I’m an adult friend. Adult friends are different. We met later in life,” Santino said.

However, Kelce never shared the exact date or details. “He said he was doing it, but he didn’t say when. I don’t pry,” Santino said. Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift officially shared their engagement news with fans on August 26 through Instagram. They posted photos in a flower-filled garden at Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas. The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2023, has not revealed a wedding date yet.
