Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer affirmed that youth are the foundational pillars of India’s future while addressing the 13th Convocation Ceremony of Vignan’s University on Saturday. Held with grandeur at the university campus in Chebrolu mandal, the event celebrated academic excellence and a vision for nation-building.
Commending Vignan’s interdisciplinary approach, the Governor praised its integration of engineering with humanities, agriculture with AI, and design with law—reflecting a commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders. “Engineering is now the language of change, revolutionising sectors from agriculture to policymaking,” he noted.
Highlighting Amaravati’s development as a “tech-knowledge city,” he said the Quantum Valley initiative would position Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of India’s National Quantum Mission. “The transformation of Amaravati will be powered not just by officials but by students like you,” he told the graduates, urging them to uphold values, ethics, and purpose.
Quoting Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Governor reminded students that FAIL stands for “First Attempt In Learning,” END means “Effort Never Dies,” and NO signifies “Next Opportunity.”
A total of 2,122 students received degrees, with 60 awarded gold medals. Honorary doctorates were conferred upon Chintalapati Srinivasaraju (iLabs), Ashok Atluri (Zen Technologies), and Komanduri Ramachari (music composer and educator).
Chairman Lavu Rathaiah, Vice Chairman Lavu Srikrishnadevarayalu, and other dignitaries underscored the importance of ethical innovation and called for a national shift from “Make in India” to “Invent and Lead from India.” The event concluded on a note of pride and celebration, as graduates in traditional attire pledged their commitment to the nation’s progress.
