Youth found dead, woman critically injured in Omkareshwar Canal in Dhar

Times News NetworkDhar: A young man was found dead and a woman was found seriously injured in the Omkareshwar Canal in Dharampuri area of Dhar districton Sunday.The bodies were found near Shahpura Kakarda under the Dharampuri police station jurisdiction.

Locals first spotted the woman in the water and rescued her. She was identified as Reena, a resident of Manpur.

She was suffering from multiple fractures in both arms andlegs and was taken to Dharampuri Civil Hospital before being referred to a higher medical facility due to her critical condition.The deceased was identified as Ganesh alias Chhotu, from Shahpura Kakarda. According to preliminary observations, the body was found in a semi-nude state with visible injury marks.Dharampuri police station in charge Sardar Singh Solanki told TOI, “We reached the spot and found that the woman was in very critical condition with severe injuries on her legs, hands and abdomen. The exact sequence of events will become clearer after the postmortem examination report of the youth, forensic analysis, and the statement of the injured woman.”
