Youth killed for meeting girl brother among five booked in Jabalpur

JABALPUR: A 19-year-old youth who went to meet a girl was allegedly murdered by her brother and his four friends, who later dumped the body in a forest in the Bargi area. Police have registered a case of murder against all five accused, who are absconding.According to Bargi CSP Anjul Ayank Mishra, the decomposed body of the victim, identified as Satyendra Uike, son of Tirath Uike of Seoni district, was found in Bija forest on August 20. The body was four days old and decomposed due to rain.Investigations revealed that Satyendra visited the village on August 16 to meet his teenage friend. The girl’s brother saw them talking and, along with four accomplices, allegedly attacked Satyendra, leading to his death. The body was later dumped in the forest.Police have launched a search for the accused after registering a case under BNS Section 302.
